The Lions host the Saints and the Tigers host the Rockies Sunday, Disney On Ice runs Thursday through Saturday at Little Caesars Arena, and FrankenFest Detroit closes the week at Historic Fort Wayne. The week's news and school sports run in separate editions.
Sunday, September 13 – Monday, September 14
The Lions host the Saints at Ford Field, 1 p.m., and the Tigers host the Rockies at Comerica Park, 12:10 p.m. Lily Allen brings West End Girl to the Fox Theatre, and Rickey Smiley plays Sound Board. Monday brings Chief Keef to the Fillmore Detroit and a Coffee & Conversation with Council Member Whitfield Calloway, 8 a.m. Several Lions season-opener watch parties and tailgates also run Sunday around Ford Field.
Tuesday, September 15 – Wednesday, September 16
Jensen McRae brings the God Has a Hitman Tour to the Majestic Theatre Tuesday, and Sons of Legion play the Fillmore Detroit, 7 p.m. Wednesday brings Gary Clark Jr. to the Fillmore and Xavier Wulf's Cool World Tour to Saint Andrew's Hall. Smaller club dates run both nights, and no city meetings are on the calendar Tuesday or Wednesday.
Thursday, September 17 – Friday, September 18
Disney On Ice: Find Your Hero runs multiple performances at Little Caesars Arena Thursday through Saturday. Descendents and The Chats play the Fillmore Thursday, followed by Social Distortion, 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday bring Party Animals Detroit — the Firefighters vs. the Savannah Party Animals — to Comerica Park, and Jim Gaffigan to the Fox Theatre Friday.
Saturday, September 19
FrankenFest Detroit runs at Historic Fort Wayne. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra performs “Miles Davis and John Coltrane at 100” at the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center. Bowling for Soup plays Saint Andrew's Hall. Disney On Ice and the Party Animals baseball show both continue into Saturday.
DPSCD has 49 games scheduled this week. Those, and last week's results, run in the separate Detroit High School Sports edition.

Sunday — Dermot Kennedy plays the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights, and Breaking Benjamin plays Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston.
Thursday — Indigo Girls and Linda Perry play Meadow Brook Amphitheatre in Rochester Hills.
Friday — BABYMETAL's World Tour 2026 stops at Pine Knob. Saturday — Michigan hosts UTEP at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, and the 2026 AAA Auto Expo runs in Dearborn.
