The Detroit Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit holds its annual Unmasking Domestic Violence event Saturday, Oct. 10, the day Beacon Park's Cider in the City opens. Dirty Dancing opens a run at the Fisher Theatre Tuesday, Oct. 13, and Eastern Market hosts an open-air craft fair Friday, Oct. 16, the night MARVIN opens at Music Hall. Listings disagree on the dates of eight shows and the start time of one game; each is given with both values. No civic meeting appears in Detroit's own events feed this week. Switchfoot, with Anberlin, brings its Forever Now Tour to the Fillmore; doors open at 7 p.m., the show starts at 8 p.m., and all ages are welcome. The Rocky Horror Picture Show, featuring Nell Campbell, plays the Fisher Theatre at 7 p.m. Steve Treviño plays Mic Drop Comedy Detroit, and the Planet D Nonet plays Cliff Bell's at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Friday, Oct. 9.
Undertale: The Determination Symphony plays the Fox Theatre tonight, per Allevents, or Friday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m., per Ticketmaster, whose event link itself carries the Oct. 8 date. Neither is resolved here.
The Detroit Public Library lists 19 programs across its branches today, among them Introduction to Rain Gardens at the Douglass Branch at noon and the first of a six-part Beginning American Sign Language series at the Main Library at 4:30 p.m.

The Red Wings host the Seattle Kraken at Little Caesars Arena at 7 p.m. The Thorn plays the Fox Theatre at 7 p.m.; its listing says the show is not recommended for children under 12. Interpol, with DIIV, plays the Masonic Temple's Jack White Theatre, and the 4th Annual Podscar Awards are at Focus: HOPE on Oakman Boulevard.
Chris Tucker plays the Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel at 8 p.m., 21 and over. Ticketmaster lists him tonight and Saturday, Oct. 10, under one event link, and Sunday, Oct. 11, under another dated Oct. 10. Art Garfunkel appears at the Fisher Theatre tonight, per one Allevents listing, or Saturday, Oct. 10, per another. Neither is resolved here.

The Detroit Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit holds its annual Unmasking Domestic Violence awareness event at the A. B. Ford Community Center. Its flyer gives a memorial walk at 10:30 a.m., with registration at 10 a.m., followed by a program and lunch, and gives the address as 100 Lenox; the flyer calls it a free community event.
Beacon Park's Cider in the City opens; its flyer gives 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 10-11 and 17-18. The Thorn plays the Fox Theatre at 1 p.m., Pinhead Gunpowder plays Saint Andrew's Hall at 7 p.m., and Straight Ahead plays Cliff Bell's at 7:30 p.m.
