The Michigan Urban Farming Initiative

The Michigan Urban Farming Initiative (MUFI) is a Detroit-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that engages the community in sustainable urban agriculture, education, and community development. It is redeveloping properties in Detroit, including transforming a blighted apartment building on Brush Street into a community resource center with food processing space and a healthy food cafe, and it relies entirely on volunteers and donations.
